Announcement: The What's Next Program is currently pausing new applications as we work on exciting program enhancements. We are committed to providing the best learning and certification experience for future Grantees and look forward to reopening the application portal in Summer 2026. If you have recently applied, our team is still actively reviewing submissions, and you can expect to hear a status update from us soon.
Please note that this pause does not affect current grantees, who will continue to have full access to on-demand training, Okta orgs, and certification vouchers for the remainder of their 90-day grant period. Our team remains 100% committed to supporting them as they work toward mastering Identity and Access Management.
What’s Next by Okta Learning is an Okta Learning grant program (the “Program”) that offers individuals in the United States a chance to improve their skills and pursue technical careers. It provides access to Okta’s on-demand course catalog, a certification exam voucher, and a premier practice exam voucher (collectively, “the Okta Learning Grant Subscription”). The Program specifically targets individuals who lost their jobs as a result of layoffs in the United States and are actively seeking employment in a technical role within the identity and access management space. The Program is also available to veterans and military spouses who are transitioning to civilian roles, and to cybersecurity students.
Please carefully review the eligibility requirements below before applying. Providing inaccurate information or submitting an incomplete application may result in a delay in the processing of your application as well as subsequent rejection.
• The Program provides grant recipients access to the Okta Learning Grant Subscription for 90 days at no cost.
• The Okta Learning Grant Subscription consists of one certification exam voucher valued at 250 USD and one premier practice exam voucher valued at 75 USD as well as access to Okta’s on-demand course catalog valued at 2500 USD.
• Both vouchers must be used within 90 days from the date you are granted access to the Okta Learning Grant Subscription.
• The Program is limited to the first 5,000 grant recipients.
• Applicants must currently reside in the United States and must have recently worked for a U.S.-based employer while residing in the U.S.
• Applicants must have had their employment terminated after May 31, 2022, and continue to be unemployed at the time the applicant submits the online application.

• Applicants who are cybersecurity students must be currently enrolled in a cybersecurity training or education program at the time the applicant submits the online application.
• All applicants must complete an online application form, which can be accessed through the following link: https://www.okta.com/whatsnext.
