Todd McKinnon is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Okta. He is responsible for creating, communicating and implementing the overall vision and strategy for the company. Under Todd's leadership, Okta has grown into the leading identity solution with thousands of customers.
Todd earned his B.S. in management and information systems from Brigham Young University and his M.S. in computer science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Â He is as a regular contributor to industry publications, including Forbes, Fast Company, Fortune and the Wall Street Journal Accelerators. Todd also enjoys exercising and spending time with his family.
As an intern at Okta, you won’t just be sitting on the sidelines — you’ll be doing real work that has a direct impact on our products and customers. Whether you're contributing to our software development process, engaging with customers, or showcasing the power of our product through creative presentations, you’ll be making a difference. For example, our Software Engineer interns are responsible for writing code that gets shipped to production, directly enhancing our product offerings. Our Business Development Representative interns regularly interact with customers, playing a vital role in shaping relationships and driving company success.Â

We hire interns in our key offices: San Francisco, Chicago, Bellevue (a suburb of Seattle), Toronto, Dublin, Bangalore, and Sydney. Interns work on a hybrid basis - some days you'll work from the office and some days you'll work from home. Managers and their organization will establish the frequency you'll go into the office to meet priorities.
